SYMPTOMS 
  When you click Start and then click Help, you may receive the following error message: 
  Cannot Open the File: mk:@MSITStore:C:\Windows\Help\Windows.chm 
  NOTE: You may receive an error message when you attempt to open any Help file that has a .chm file extension. 
 
CAUSE 
  This problem can occur if the Hhctrl.ocx file is the wrong version. 
 
RESOLUTION 
  To resolve this problem, extract and register a new copy of the Hhctrl.ocx file.

  要打开.chm文件需要用Hhctrl.ocx来激活的     
  在IE的安装盘上找到Hhupd.cab这个文件，把其中的Hhctrl.ocx解压到windows\system目录中。
  然后，在开始-〉运行中输入regsvr   c:\windows\system\hhctrl.ocx来注册文件.

   下载最新的Hhupd.exe，安装，尝试用新的打开。
